Web Design
I design websites
for small businesses and artists who want to use a website primarily as
an expanded business card, brochure, portfolio, gallery, and resumé,
with their own domain and email address.
Graphic content may be provided by the client, or I can develop images
to suit your needs. Logos with or without specially designed typefaces
are also possible.
I work closely with the client, so that the end result is a website
that reflects the client's tastes and preferences, images and
intentions. Additional pages can easily be created.
I use BlueHost.com for my hosting and domain. I especially like the Blue Host cPanel. One can host multiple domains on one account, so I find it very economical. I'm also an affiliate, so if someone uses my link to purchase their hosting, (the first domain is free) I get credit for it.
Pat Field
I exhibit my paintings as a member of the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators. Our most exciting venue is the annual Philadelphia Flower Show. I have studied this art at Longwood Gardens and CCA with Joan Frain for more than a decade. Although many works are for sale, this is primarily a "meditative practice" for me.
Calligraphy
I am self-taught, as were many calligraphers back in the
'70s when this craft was popular.
"Semi-retired" from calligraphy as a business, I will do some jobs as
time, interest, and energy permit.
Using my own calligraphic font I address envelopes
for wedding invitations and fill in place cards for receptions.
I usually fill in certificates by hand, in Old English, Italic, or Copperplate Script.
Photography
A lifelong hobby, and currently a more serious artistic enterprise, my photography involves what interests me, usually a natural subject or scene, or unusual shapes or textures. My goal is to take perfectly composed pictures that do not need any cropping. Sometimes that happens!
I exhibit with a local group, ArtLane PCG.
